HomeworkStreak Pty Ltd ("HomeworkStreak", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users, particularly children under 18. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

HomeworkStreak is designed for use by students aged 10–17 with parental involvement. We take our obligations under Australian privacy law seriously, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, year level, and school state. For family accounts, we also collect the parent or guardian's email address.

Usage data: We collect data about how you use the app, including homework tasks added, study sessions completed, streak counts, and XP earned. This data is used to provide the service and show progress to parents.

Device information: We collect basic device and browser information for technical support and security purposes.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card details on our servers.

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the HomeworkStreak service
• Show parents visibility into their child's homework completion and study streaks
• Send SMS and email reminders (only if enabled by you or your parent)
• Respond to support requests
• Send product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We never use student data, account data or in-app activity for advertising. Our public marketing website (not the logged-in app) uses Google Ads conversion measurement — see the Cookies section below.

HomeworkStreak is designed for students aged 10–17. We take additional precautions for younger users:

• Students under 13 must have a parent or guardian create and manage their account
• Parents can view, edit, or delete their child's data at any time from the parent dashboard
• We do not show advertising to any users, and no advertising or measurement scripts run inside the logged-in app
• We do not share student data with third parties for commercial purposes
• Student accounts are not publicly visible

We share data only with:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider (data stored in Australia)
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• MobileMessages — SMS delivery (Australian provider)
• Google — advertising conversion measurement on our public marketing pages only (never inside the app)

All service providers are required to protect your data and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of marketing communications

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences.

On our public marketing pages (such as this website's homepage, pricing and blog), we use Google Ads to measure whether our advertising works — for example, counting how many visitors sign up after clicking one of our ads. This sets a Google advertising cookie. We have disabled ad personalisation signals, and these cookies are never set inside the logged-in student or parent app.

You can opt out of Google's advertising cookies at adssettings.google.com or by using your browser's cookie controls.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email and will always post the current version here with the date it was last updated.
